Here we grow!
It's exciting times in the garden! We have been harvesting many pounds of lettuce and kale, but now we're really starting to have fun...
In the last week, we picked our first cucumber. This cucumber was a little champion that gives us hope of more to come.
Next, we pulled beets and turnip out of the ground. Both of these crops Co-op Credit participants grew from seed, many for the first time. It is incredibly rewarding to see one tiny, seemingly insignificant speck turn into something so beautiful (that you helped make!).
Now we wait a little longer with the knowledge that things are indeed growing.
And in the meantime, did you know you can eat beet and turnip greens?
